The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is one of India’s premier national education boards, overseeing both public and private schools under the governance of the Union Government of India.
Currently, there are over 21,000 CBSE-affiliated schools in India and more than 220 schools across 28 countries globally. Since its inception with 309 schools in 1962, CBSE has witnessed significant expansion. All affiliated schools adhere to the standardized NCERT (National Council of Educational Research and Training) curriculum.
CBSE conducts the final board examinations for Classes 10 and 12 annually in March, with results typically announced by the end of May.
